Centre for Critical Care & Trauma

Critical Care:

The Jaypee Hospital will have one of the largest critical care bed units in the NCR region with 117 ICU beds, inclusive of dedicated areas for the MICU, CCU, SICU, PICU, NICU, Transplant ICU, Neuro ICU and the Step Down ICU.

Some special features of our critical care department would be to ensure that each patient cubical is separated by a glass wall and the indoor air quality is supported by dedicated air supply units with filters to keep the area free from any kind of contamination and cross infection. Each cluster of specialized ICU areas will have separate isolation beds.

Another key feature is the design element supporting the independent patient bay that would keep the area quiet and ensure improved healing.

Each ICU will be manned by dedicated MD registrars and trained nursing staff.

Trauma & Emergency:

The department is located on ground floor with a separate entry and will be open for service on a 24x7 basis. It will be equipped to handle the entire range of medical emergencies ranging from resuscitations to minor emergency, critical emergencies, road traffic accident and industrial disasters. The department will have 5 triage beds, 10 observation beds and will have a dedicated sample collection room.

The department will have a dedicated modular OT where all the minor procedures would be performed and the Radio Diagnostics services (CT/MRI/Digital X rays) shall be provided for in the same area, to save on critical time.

The department will have a dedicated lift to ICU & OT floors to ensure quick transfer of critical patients.

Emergency protocols are being  developed for a variety of common emergencies as per the international standards and protocols.

The department is backed by 5 ACLS ambulances which will be fully equipped with  transport ventilators, defibrillators, 12 hours oxygen back up and will be like ICU on wheels.

A helipad is planned inside hospital campus and when commissioned, it will ensure prompt transfer of patients and will help in saving many lives.
